CurVoxels is a research group in Research Cluster 4, MArch Architectural Design, Wonderlab, The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, directed by Ar. Manuel Jiménez García (MArch AD WonderLab, Research Cluster4 Tutor at The Bartlett School of Architecture, London) and Ar. Gilles Retsin (MArch AD WonderLab, Research Cluster 4 Tutor at The Bartlett School of Architecture, London). CurVoxels focuses on 3d printed space structures printed with different materials with a high degree of differentiation in the properties and organisation of the materials. The research focuses on how different materials can be used in building a single structure in which each material would play a different role with respect to their property and organisation. Complex structures are achieved through coding and generating Bezier curves inside octree voxels which later combine to form complex structures. Potential of the code is carrying different data can be achieved through rotating in the form of generating Bezier curves through inside each voxel.
