Eric Vernhes, as a multidisciplinary artist creates kinetic visual or sound installations and systems, whose behaviour are programmed on the basis of self-generative logicals, whether interactive or hybrids.
Architect from the Paul Virilio studio, then scriptwriter, filmaker and musician, Eric Vernhes uses digital process and the extract from their technical context at the service of a timeless speech inspired by literature and philosophy.
During this event, open to everyone, Eric Vernhes achieved the “dissection” of one of his work, “Gerridae” which is a predictive and interactive text generator.
By showing how the creative process of a piece of art is graduated, twisted or inspired by software tools it is made from, this talk asks what do opposite or bind technology, humans and nature.
Participants of the DESIGN by DATA Advanced Master will have the opportunity to work with Eric Vernhes in the program as he is in charge of the “Art, Technology and the Creative Process” course.
This is the second video replay of a series of conferences that will take place at La Gaîté Lyrique (as part of the Design by Data Advanced Master).
