After the success of the 1st edition of the “BIM and Computational Design” Talk, École des Ponts ParisTech French prestigious engineering school is pleased to invite you to a new event dedicated to the following subject: “Questioning relationships between software and creativity for Architects and Engineers”.
How do the diverse design professions approach the evolutions brought by digital technologies? What are the tools currently used to make iterations between the conceptual and the technical evolutions possible? Regarding this specific and current background, the school has decided to create two new Advanced Masters: BIM and DESIGN by DATA, in order to answer the resulting new professional training needs. These two programs have been designed in a tailored and innovative way (Part-Time format, e-learning, transdisciplinary approach).
As part of the speakers of the Talk, architects, engineers, teachers and software developers will introduce their point of view on new technologies applied to the architecture and construction fields:
Anouk Legendre, XTU Architects
Jean Francois Blassel, SPAN ingénierie
Tristan Gobin, HAL robotics
Daniel Hurtubise, Renzo Piano Building Workshop
Jacques Hababou, Rhino France
Francesco Cingolani, DBD Advanced Master
Olivier Celnik, BIM Advanced Master
The event is coordinated and will be hosted by Nicolas Sénemaud (X-TU Architects), architect and graduate from the BIM Advanced Master who achieved a professional thesis about computational design.
The event will take place on the 12th of April, 2017, at 7 pm at Volumes coworking, in Paris, in France (78 rue Compans 75019 PARIS).
The talk and debate will be followed by a cocktail designed by a culinary designer. It will take place in the Foodlab of Volumes coworking.
