From the 15th to the 18th of January 2019, École des Ponts ParisTech is pleased to invite you to the DiXite 3dPrint Symposium & Workshop, a major event in additive manufacturing for the construction industry, in which the DESIGN by Data Mastère Spécialisé® – Advanced Master is heavily involved.
After radically transforming the worlds of design and production in sectors such as car manufacturing and aeronautics, digital technologies are now entering the construction sector. These digital innovations raise some questions: how do we build tomorrow’s sustainable habitat? What will the sites of tomorrow look like? The idea behind the DiXite project, Digital Construction Site, is to use I-Site Future as a place where the partners can develop research around construction scenarios in which automated and digitised processes are used to construct and maintain the digital city of tomorrow.
15 – 16 January | Workshop 3D concrete printing
DESIGN by DATA is co-organizing the workshop for all large-scale building actors, printing practitioners and curious, with the supports of HalRobotics and XtreeE. The workshop will be host by Adrien Rigobello, Academic Coordinator of DESIGN by DATA and Academic Coordinator for Digital Fabrication in École des Ponts ParisTech.
- First day: Introduction to 3D concrete printing, rheology and robotics.
- Second day: Design and manufacture of prototypes (chairs, benches, poles …).
17 – 18 January | Symposium
The DiXite 3dPrint Symposium is an initiative of the DiXite collaborative research project, Digital Construction Site, funded by the I-Site Paris-Est FUTURE. It aims to bring together the main French construction players, researchers, teachers, industrialists, architects, engineers and designers to take stock of advances in additive manufacturing for construction.
- On 18 January at 13:40 p.m.: Francesco Cingolani – Director of the Mastère Spécialisé® Advanced Master DESIGN by DATA at École des Ponts ParisTech will introduce the program.
